| Sharing Secrets, a horse and his girl |
I had this phenomenal photo of the Quarter Horse, Rebel and his owner and there were no words necessary, you could see it all in the photo, and I had to capture it on paper. There is nothing like the relationship a girl shares with her horse. There is an unconditional understanding and acceptance. This time in a girl's life represents hope and believing and trust before the world comes in and reality replaces the innocence.
I think that is why I am drawn to drawing and painting because I can capture moments like this with no words and make them last forever. It seems like such a worthy goal to pinpoint the real and important moments and make them stand still and to share them.
Sometimes neither my mind or my hand know how to put it on paper, but it is so worthwhile when it ends up there, forever.
I hope someday, Julia looks at this drawing and remembers her friend.
