Not to be defeated by the ocean scene, I tried another. The reference photo I was working from had this great lighting thing going on, not sure I captured what I was after, but there's always tomorrow! Oh, and this is painting 6.Preview
There is great feeling to this painting. I can sense apprehension in the boy - as if there is something in the distance he isn't too sure he wants to walk towards. I think you're doing really well with this challenge - and when its over, my - how you'll have grown in your work! xx
Jennifer, I would like to try some more of these since I do love the ocean and the shore, I would love to be more skilled painting waves and sky....more to work towards...and thanks for your feedback, you are so supportive of my efforts!
