Painting number 16 of 28 to be painted in February.
This is from a reference photo taken on vacation in Sea Pines, Hilton Head, South Carolina, we used to rent Kayaks and explore, see so many dolphins, egrets, herons, very pretty, peaceful.
I read on a fellow bloggers blog, about sanding watercolor pencil on to the wet paint, and thought I would give it a try on the background of this. I like it! Gives a nice texture. I will try this again! Thanks for visiting and as always I appreciate your comments.

"View From The Kayak" egret on Hilton Head Island, Sea Pines, South Carolina |
Thanks for the tip Maggie, it came in handy today!
Really beautiful, Maria. I love the colors and how you used dark behind the egret to make the white stand out so well. Beautiful brushwork, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Theresa, this one was so simple, but I really like the colors, may frame and hang this one in my room, make me feel as though I am on vacation....somewhere wonderful.
ReplyDeleteLovely loose expressive feel to this. Great job! xx
ReplyDeleteOh, thank you Pat, you told me one of the goals of painting daily was to be more loose! We'll see if it stays with me, it kind of comes and goes, I get stuck in detail and lose loose so easily!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Maria! I love love love the colors in this painting! Really nice washes in this!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jennifer!
