Walk on the Wild Side, painting number 7

This was from a reference photo of a very pregnant mare on the beach of Corolla, NC.
It is so much easier for me to see value after I post, I see a few spots I would like to change as I look at it.
Light spot in front of right front leg needs to be dark.....Will work on that!
And horses are way easier to paint than beaches.  Just saying.  See you tomorrow.

"The results you achieve will be in direct proportion to the effort you apply."--Denis Waitley

May hang this quote over my painting desk for the month of February.

  4. Thanks everyone, it has been easier to paint with kids at school (no snow days!). Maybe I shouldn't say that out loud it is snowing right now....

  6. Thanks so much Yasha, funny the horses come easily, it is the rest I have to work at, and I am, everyday. I love your work as well, any tips are always welcome, hoping to get to some workshops some time, so much to learn!
