Ok, here is the lab portrait which I was keeping hidden from you!

I delivered it to Zoey's owners this week and remembered to take some pictures for you before I dropped it off.  This is 11 by 14 inches in watercolor.

Zoey became very sick, very quickly and passed away the very same day from an unknown cause, at the emergency hospital. She is missed very much by her family, hoping that this painting will help keep her memory alive in their home.

  4. That is such a sad story. I had a dog die recently and they never could figure out what was making her sick even with a bunch of tests. They are such a big part of our families!! They will love this great painting.

  5. Thank you Mary Anne, this family has since adopted a lab from the local shelter and are fostering a pilot dog, they are good people. Sorry to hear about your dog, it is so hard when are gone too soon, they leave a big empty place behind.

  10. What a great tribute and beautiful painting for Zoey's family. I can imagine painting a black lab (not really BLACK, per se) was difficult, but you did a great job. My brother has a photo of a black lab that he wants me to paint, and I've been procrastinating. But after seeing yours.....I'm newly inspired. Thanks!
