"The Yearlings" watercolor painting of three yearling horses
So, my daughter is riding her horse, and it is hot and I have already checked my email and Facebook and the weather and news, too hot to knit, so ....I look around and am amused by the babies in the field....so I take my phone and begin to follow them, laughing as they splash through the puddles and pick on each other, nose up to my camera and generally act like the babies they are! This is an 8 by 10 inch work in progress of the three yearlings who stuck their noses in my phone, trying to figure out what exactly I was up to. So proud that I didn't drop my phone in the puddles! When I was done, my daughter had already finished riding and was back in the barn, maybe I will knit next time.....

ReplyDeleteBeautiful job Maria, lovely composition)
ReplyDeleteThanks Gretchen and Sam, this is one of my favorites as well, funny how some just seem to come together and others won't hold together with all the gorilla glue in the world! Still so hit or miss with my painting. Thanks for your feedback, always appreciated!
