"Brighter Days", Color of the Year, Daily Paintworks Challenge, in watercolor

My Daily Paintworks Challenge entry, challenge is to paint with the Pantone Color of the year, Tangerine Tango, well I didn't have that color but used my Winsor and Newton Cadmium Red watercolor!  I struggle with painting flowers, but have not yet given up hope!  Enjoy the day, the sun is shining through my windows today, love when that happens in January.

    I love cad red and if you want to really make it glow, add a wash of new gamboge as a first layer and paint over it when dry.
    Anyway, I love your flower, its beautiful xx

    Thank you Pat, I will try that! I love new gamboge (even thought I don't know how to pronounce it...)
