Happy Day, watercolor painting of young girl on the beach

Loved this reference photo with the bright colors.  I find children easier to portray then adults, but I will continue to try to master this challenging species!  Happy Valentines to all, don't eat all the chocolate in one day!

    Thanks Sheryl! My favorite part was that I didn't let the skin color get muddy, it seems with my previous people painting, i tried to get more color too soon. I went really slow with adding color, letting it dry in between washes. I liked that the color stayed more clear. Every now and then I think I am learning!

    Thanks Kathryn, I need to hang this one in the studio, to remind myself not to let my colors get muddy! You are so good at that, love how your washes always look so clear and bright.
