"She just couldn't decide between being an artist when she grew up and being a vet. Her mother responded, you don't have to decide sweet girl. you can be both."
Wow, Maria! Love this- the colors are beautiful and it is so well painted! You did a great job, she is so cute!
Thanks Sheryl! My favorite part was that I didn't let the skin color get muddy, it seems with my previous people painting, i tried to get more color too soon. I went really slow with adding color, letting it dry in between washes. I liked that the color stayed more clear. Every now and then I think I am learning!
I also say "WOW"! Beautifully done, Maria. Such vibrant colors, and what a cute pose.
Thanks Kathryn, I need to hang this one in the studio, to remind myself not to let my colors get muddy! You are so good at that, love how your washes always look so clear and bright.
Lovely work, Maria. She looks so happy and carefree! xx
The good old days Pat!
Perfect colors for the day, Valentine's Day! Sweet painting, captured a spirit!
Thanks so much Mary Anne, what a wonderful complement!

Thank you Crystal, they sure grow up quickly, fun to remember them at this age!
This is truly lovely!
