Spring Fields, grey horse art, Daily Paintworks Challenge

Equine art, horse in watercolor, Spring Fields, Maria Reichert © 2012
This is my entry for the Daily Paintworks Challenge of last week.  This is 8 by 10 inches on Arches paper.  I had added two new colors to my palette, French Ultramarine blue and Quinacridone Gold and used them both liberally on this!   Off to spend some time painting a sweet Basset Hound on Aquaboard.  Hope the sun is shining where you are today. You can view the other entries here.

  5. Thanks Judy, I neglected the landscape a bit, I am a tad squeamish about landscapes, but I intend to address this issue some time!
And Sheryl, I think I like the gold, although I think I like my gamboge a bit better? Time will tell!
