Let Sleeping Dogs Lie

Working from a photo borrowed from a friend, loved the peaceful expression of this sleeping chocolate lab.  I struggle a little with color in acrylic, so different from my familiar watercolors.  

I was touched by this article on the animal rescues during the recent Superstorm.  Hope the East coast is making steps towards recovery.  My heart goes out to the people and their pets as they try to get back to normal.

    Maria- this is so cute and sweet! Makes you want to cuddle him up!

    It really is terrifying what all those people have had to go through! I wish the same! Recovery. Great painting!

      Thanks Jen! Still find the acrylic paint a bit ...awkward, so I try to pick simple subjects, may try a few more canine models to paint in the acrylic on canvas.

      Thank you! So hard for all those who have suffered through the storm and its damage, and it would be horrible to lose your pet on top of that, I am also glad there are people who will help.
