Pooch Parade Day 4, A little Yellow

Yellow Lab in watercolor 5 by 7 © Maria's Watercolor Art
On Day 4 of the challenge, I worked from a friends photo of her lab.  No pencil sketch, just jumped right in and started adding color. Would like to work this again, larger with more detail, the reference photo had such great lights and darks.  But this is it for today.  Make it a good day!

    1. Thank you Diana! You know I think of you each time I see a yellow lab, especially the older ones. I am working from a photo today of a friends older lab, I will post it today. He is a big sweet fellow.

    1. Thank you Fay. My next subject is a black lab, and then another yellow! I usually paint too many horses, so this is a nice change for me. And thank you for following the blog.

    1. Thank you Judy! I am enjoying them. I usually jump around to different subjects, and it is nice to focus on the dogs, I think it is helping me get the anatomy down, especially those tricky noses!
