The Glass Challenge Daily Paintworks

"Five O Clock Somewhere"  5 by 7 watercolor on paper $45.00
This week's challenge is not to paint a glass object but rather, the shapes and colors that make up the representation of it.  It was to be loose , abstract, had some fun with this and tried not to get too picky.

Busy finishing several Christmas commissions. But wanted to sneak this in for the fun of it. Will post the Christmas pictures, well, after Christmas!

  2. Gorgeous! You did such a beautiful job of finding the highlights and reflections and all the colors that bounce around in teh glass. I once heard an artist speaking about their work and the question of how to paint glass came up. The artist said the secret of painting glass is NOT to paint it. (meaning that if a spot is transparent to the eye when you look there, then don't try to put a line or any weight there) You epitomize that philosophy here with your painting so well!
